We pride ourselves at DF/DP/DV for being one big family. We honestly could not do what we do without our amazing members. Here we'll be adding a collection of success stories from our members, but for now we actually have a special event for members and non-members alike! Come join us for our "Be Inspired" week, where we'll be bringing you three different speakers all with their own success stories. From being a cancer warrior to juggling a business with home life, or even playing with big Canadian musicians; these individuals will show you different perspectives and how they've been able to find success despite the obstacles that lay before them.

JIMMY REID
James “Jimmy” Reid spent his formative years in Northern Ontario like most kids, playing road hockey and getting into a variety of trouble. Discovering a passion for music would soon change all that.
Since playing his first gig at the age of 15, his guitar skills have brought him around the world with a wide variety of artists such as Soul Decision, Amanda Marshall, Crash Test Dummies, Ashley MacIsaac and Andy Kim to name a few. Jimmy has been honoured to play alongside many legacy artists such as Alex Lifeson of Rush, Tom Cochrane and Don Felder of Eagles. He’s traveled to Kandahar Afghanistan with Finger Eleven to support the Canadian Armed Forces on more than one occasion.
James attributes his success to perseverance, dedication, adaptability, being open to challenges and learning, humour, as well as surrounding himself with an amazing support network.
He is currently a lead guitarist for Sass Jordan and lives in Toronto with his wife Marnie and their cat Max.
JASON GERVAIS B.Sc, EPC, CHS
Born and raised in Timmins and by the age of 17, Jason competed internationally at the Pan Am Games, the Commonwealth Games, The World championships and the Olympics. At the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney Australia, Jason was a member of the Canadian Olympic team for Discus and Shot Put. A 14 time all American champion in the discus, shot put, hammer and weight throw, Jason holds the mountain west conference record and university school records in the weight throw shot put and discus. A four time mountain west champion and won all conference honors eight times. In 2013, Jason was inducted in the sports hall of fame in Wyoming.
After graduating University from a full scholarship with a Bachelor’s of Science in business, he joined London Life. Jason excelled in the industry and his potential brought him to form Timmins Financial in 2009.
Jason’s current and past success are based on focus, vision, commitment, accountability, and personal empowerment as well as work-life balance.
When he isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Jessica (former Mrs. Canada) and their three children. He is committed to his community, putting on throwing clinics, speaking at the local high schools and serving on the Board of Directors for the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation.
JODY PRESLEY
Jody is a 48 year old married mother of two adult sons, and a nine year old daughter. She is currently in "beast mode" fighting the biggest battle of her life - HER2+ Breast Cancer with stage three being diagnosed two days before Christmas of 2020.
She is a firm believer in making lemonade out of lemons, and bringing a little sass and tenacity into life's obstacles. She also sprinkles kindness and love to those around her, but emphasizes starting with yourself first as you can't poor from an empty bucket!
As a self professed painter, writer, comedian and spiritual guru, it is her aspiration that by sharing openly and honestly about her journey, that somehow - even one person - will be inspired to never give up no matter what mountain or storm they may be facing.
